Ever heard the phrase ‘The more things change, the more they stay the same’?
It couldn’t be more apt for today’s installment in the Generative AI blog series. This blog is a companion to three prior installments where we highlighted transforming a PDF into an application, ingesting PDFs with Master: Detail data structures and turning screenshots into business apps.
Today, we’re pleased to announce that when modernizing PDFs, or starting with a screenshot of an existing interface with the intent to convert them into intelligent AgilePoint applications, AgilePoint will now faithfully preserve the layout of the source files. Woo!
Wait, I didn’t read the prior blogs!
No problem, here’s a quick synopsis of the process
- Find the PDF that everyone uses, or take a screenshot of your legacy application.
- Upload it to AgilePoint and rearrange, review and reclassify the list of suggested fields as needed, and configure your parent and child tables if appropriate.
- Add any final tweaks, and publish!
Ok, so what’s new then?
Well, as we mentioned, this latest iteration can not only handle multiple tables on the form, but AgilePoint will now preserve the exact layout shown. I can already hear the business users rejoicing!
In all seriousness, changing ways of working can be hard, especially when habits and practices are deeply ingrained. Because AgilePoint will preserve the layout, this is one major barrier removed towards encouraging large-scale adoption of a much more intelligent and powerful way of working. Your shiny new application looks the same as the PDF or legacy interface, it’s just better in every conceivable way!
Ok, now move along, and try this for yourselves in your AgilePoint trial tenant.
