Since ChatGPT took the world by storm in December of 2022, Large Language Models, or LLMs, have been the talk of the town. In some cases, it has been the first exposure that many have had in the world of artificial intelligence.
However, if you’re using AgilePoint at an expert level, you’re probably already aware that AgilePoint made its first foray into AI back in 2017 with the advent of AI driven process routing, where a workflow’s execution is optimized and personalized based on the feedback from an algorithm.
So, with that said I am proud to announce that AgilePoint is expanding its AI vision, and today’s blog post is the first of many that will highlight AI that is layered deeply into many aspects of the platform.
What is an LLM exactly?
For the uninitiated, let’s take a quick look at what an LLM is, and how it works.
The first key is that these models are trained on HUGE datasets. Hence the ‘Large’ phrasing. And once trained on this data, an LLM can be used to predict and generate text responses, among other things. As a result, the larger and more accurate the training data set, the better the responses will be.
What does this mean for AgilePoint?
With any software platform, there is a learning curve. Though we like to think that AgilePoint strikes the right balance between providing powerful capabilities and straightforward ease of use, there are going to be things that a user of our platform might not yet be aware of, and this might impede their progress to build the next game-changing innovation.

Remember that training dataset we discussed earlier? ARIA has been trained on tons of AgilePoint content like product documentation, user forum and customer support tickets. In short, it’s probably the most knowledgeable AgilePoint resource around.
ARIA can be accessed from within every module in platform to give you the right advice and guidance, just when you need it. In the near future, ARIA will be context sensitive, so if I happen to have the Salesforce stencil open in the automation builder or the data grid control in the UI builder, ARIA will know to answer questions in that context. Oh, and one more thing, ARIA is also coming to your applications in the form of a dedicated UI control, so the intelligence isn’t just limited to the platform itself!
How Does it Work?
Well, as we mentioned, ARIA is integrated into every module, page and screen in the platform. Have a question and need help? Just open the chat window, and ask ARIA for help, and in mere seconds, you’re back in business!
At a high level, ARIA is trained on four major types of questions – as we mentioned, she has expert-level knowledge on the AgilePoint platform, knows how to bring in coding snippets to extend the already powerful out of the box capabilities, and can even answer scenario-based questions and write database queries! So, ask away!
