Welcome back, AgilePoint community! As we continue our exhilarating journey through the AgilePoint NX v9.0 SU1 release, I’m delighted to introduce the Azure Service Bus Event Service!
A Quick Recap
Some of you might recall that during the AgilePoint NX v8 SU1 release, we rolled out process activities related to Azure Service Bus. Many of our customers have successfully leveraged this functionality to enhance their workflows.
In the AgilePoint NX v8 era, our capabilities were focused on sending messages to a queue. It was a significant step forward, but we knew there was more we could do to empower your processes.
What’s New in v9.0 SU1?
With our latest release, we’re taking things to the next level by introducing an event service that gives you full control over both incoming and outgoing messages. Now, you can define actions to take once the queue is processed, enabling you to create more dynamic and responsive workflows.
Key Features:
- Full Control: Define precise actions for both incoming and outgoing messages.
- Event-Driven Workflows: Kickstart workflows automatically whenever something enters the queue or topic.
- Enhanced Troubleshooting: Advanced users and developers can enable debug logs for easier troubleshooting.
How to Get Started
Getting up and running with the Azure Service Bus Event Service is a breeze!
- Navigate to:
Manage
->System
->Event Service
. - Find: The Azure Service Bus Event menu option.
- Configure: Authorized users can set up which workflow to initiate each time a message enters the queue or topic.
- Enable Debugging: Advanced users can turn on debug logs to assist with troubleshooting.
Why This Matters to You
This new functionality empowers you to:
- Automate Responses: Automatically trigger workflows based on real-time events, reducing manual intervention.
- Improve Efficiency: Streamline your processes by having full control over message handling.
- Enhance Visibility: Gain better insights into your message queues with advanced debugging capabilities.
Check Out the Demo Video!
To help you get the most out of this new feature, we’ve prepared a demonstration video that walks you through the setup and configuration process. We hope you find it helpful!
Note: This video was recorded during the beta version of this feature. Some labels and icons might change by the time it reaches General Availability (GA), but the core concepts of configuring these activities will remain the same.
